University of North Carolina at Wilmington (French Language)
I've been tutoring since 2007, when I was still in high school. I tutored English then, and after teaching myself French, tutored French in college and taught French classes for high school students. I placed into a 300 level French course as a Freshman and earned two different scholarships for my work in the department.
My love of French eventually brought me to work in Paris at one of France's largest TV programs, Le Grand Journal. I helped cover the American elections as well as act in sketches for the show--all in French.
My passion for this language is unmatched, and I'd be thrilled to help the next generation of students learn more about it.
I self taught French, placed into a 300 level course as a freshman, worked in Paris, and have all the Harry Potter books in French.
I mastered grammar for Spanish and French, and can easily clear up issues and confusion that arise from lack of grammar understanding.
I'm passionate about literature and grammar. I'm also a writer myself so any opportunity I can get to help others improve is welcome.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a French degree from UNC-Wilmington, three years teaching high school French at Huntington Learning Center, and 5+ years of tutoring experience. I lived and worked in France in fall of 2012
