I taught at math and physics in CPS for four years 2011-2015. I enjoyed the experience but missed the joy of learning new mathematical concepts.
As a result, I am in the process of a career change to actuarial work. Presently, I have passed 3 society of actuary exams (P,FM, and MFE).
I am interested in tutoring part time until I find gainful employment as an actuary. I will of course inform anyone I am tutoring of any job changes and uphold any commitments I have made with them with respect to tutoring.
I hold bachelor's degrees in physics and mathematics and feel comfortable tutoring in those subjects at the high school level. Additionally, I have a masters degree in science education which emphasized inquiry based education. I have taught algebra 1, physics, and AP physics.
I have a math degree from UIC. I taught algebra one in CPS for 4 years. And I have a physics degree from UIC. I taught physics and AP physics in CPS for 4 years.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students.
