School of the Art Institute of Chicago (Fine Arts)
I have been a persistent member of the art community ever since I can remember. In high school I joined the National Art Honors Society and became my school gallery's curator. After graduating high school, I would consistently return to help teach the advanced art and AP art classes, eventually leading me to provide private lessons to both high school students and younger children of friends and family. I am now attending my second year at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus in fine arts and have obtained an even firmer grasp on the various aspects of art and design. I would be honored to spread my passion to the important ones in your life! I will provide a list of required supplies prior to the start of the first lesson and will personally provide additional supplies with each next lesson unless a request for more heavy duty projects (such as stone carving) is made. In which case, I may ask to be reimbursed if providing the material.
I specialize in charcoal figure drawings and black and white figure paintings but I love to experiment with new media and subject matter! I have experience with drawing, painting, carving, linoleum block printing and mask making with many variations of each subject!
I would love to help spread my passion for fine art to people of all ages! I am currently available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and weekends! Please feel free to contact me with inquiries and requests! Thank you! Hello!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am currently attending my second year as a full-time student at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago and have previously completed multiple pre-college programs and AP art high school courses. After graduating high school, I gave private lessons to students k-12. I am confident in my conceptualization, technicality, teaching ability, and passion for the subject along with my desire to share it!
I have taken several painting oriented classes with lessons in color theory, technicality, the elements and principles of art and design, and art history. I am currently in my second year at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and have attended two pre-college programs (one with the Art Institute of Boston and one with the Rhode Island School of Design). I strongly believe that every painter needs both a solid foundation in drawing and color theory. "Learn the rules like a pro, so that you can break them like an artist." -Pablo Picasso
