Hi there! I am a New Hampshire native who recently moved to wonderful Chicago. I am a certified Elementary Teacher in both Massachusetts and Illinois. I have a Master of Art in Teaching in elementary education, and a Master's in Literacy and Specialized Instruction (Reading Specialist degree) from DePaul University.

Instilling a lifelong love of literacy and learning in all my students is my passion. I combine practical researched instructional methods to support struggling readers and writers, and have ample knowledge of the assessments, programs, and methodology required to move your child forward in their reading. I believe that every child has the chance to be a successful literacy learner, and combine my patient nature, thoughtful planning, and lots of laughs and smiles to create the best learning environment possible for your child.

Services I can provide:
-Instruction in all domains of literacy (phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension as well as writing and spelling)
-Diagnostic informal or formal assessments to pinpoint your child's specific strengths and areas of need
-Setting goals based on the above that track and show clear progress
-Phonics instruction using Wilson Fundations allowing for a hands on multisensory learning style
-Engaging lessons that are informative and specific

Hope to hear from you soon!
