Thank you for taking a moment to review my profile. I am seeking a part-time Spanish tutor/teaching opportunity. Currently I have a full-time position that does not require use of my Spanish skills, but I wish to continue using them in my day-to-day life. To provide some information on my education background, I received a Bachelors in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Class of 2013). While working towards my degree, I spent a year living in Barcelona, Spain, completing my Spanish general studies courses and teaching English (private lessons for students ages 5 through 12 and conversational courses at the University). I have experience working with students from established lesson plans as well as creating lessons and activities from scratch.
Regarding my professional experience, I have worked in roles in Human Resources and Consulting. Through these roles, I have used my Spanish to conduct extensive training with Spanish-speaking employees, translate forms and documents, and assist with day-to-day operations. These experiences have helped me build connections between lessons from the classroom and the practical application of the Spanish language. I am happy to share what I have learned and encourage you to contact me if you have any questions.
