I firmly believe that a good tutor can boost a student's confidence in the classroom, where confidence is lacking. I am a lawyer with a passion for the English language, and would love the opportunity to help students become better readers and writers as I believe that it is the key to being able to communicate effectively in today's world. Whilst not a professional teacher, I have had experience assisting youngsters in their homework and I have found it very rewarding. I believe that often, a little bit of help outside the classroom can really make a difference to a student's confidence.
I currently have a fairly wide schedule and would be available to assist students after school and/or on weekends in the Gold Coast / Old Town / Lincoln Park area. I am flexible with time and although I would like 24 hours' notice of cancellations, I offer make-up sessions. I would be happy to offer a free consultation meeting with a student/teacher to go through goals and objectives, so that our sessions are as productive as possible.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve your educational goals! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
