Quid novis! I am an archaeologist, Spanish teacher, and graduate of Vanderbilt University looking to help others explore the world and its past.

I am currently a PhD student in archaeology at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a scientific associate at the Field Museum. Previously, I was a foreign language and social studies teacher in Tennessee, teaching Latin, Spanish, and AP Government. I have spent seven summers in Peru and Bolivia, instructing at field schools and carrying out my own academic research, which I've presented at professional conferences across the country. This experience has allowed me to not only teach students facts and techniques, but to show them why what they learn matters and how to apply it in the real world.

I have been giving private tutoring lessons for 9 years. Since then, I have taken on several private tutoring positions and helped middle school, high school, and college students see success in general classes as well as entrance exams. My teaching skills have been further tested in my duties as the director of collegiate and high school musical ensembles and an Eagle Scout. Through this, I have worked with students of many backgrounds and have learned to develop motivating, effective strategies that suit the individual's needs.
