I received my Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia and received a wide range of training in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychology. My specialty are is in Child and Adult Behavioral Medicine and Health Psychology. While on Faculty at the George Washington University I taught classes across the spectrum of psychology courses offered at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I also served as the Director of the Graduate Program in Psychology at the University of Hartford where I continued to teach both graduates and undergraduates. I am dedicated to mentoring students and served as the Adviser for numerous undergraduates and graduate students and mentored over 30 Ph.D and Master's level students throughout their graduate careers. I continue to keep in touch with a number of students whom I taught and all my former students are aware they are free to contact me at any time for advice and help with career paths, applying to graduate school, further graduate work, classwork or class selection, research questions or just to fill me in on where they are and what they are doing. Mentoring students has always been the role I have been most proud of and enjoyed the most over all the variety of roles I have played throughout my career. Nothing is greater to me than watching a student develop over their education until able to embrace their future and fulfill their potential.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
