After just one lesson my daughter's confidence with math has increased. Amanda was patient and kept her engaged through math games and by showing her an easier way that should be more helpful to her and me going forward!
She did the assessment of the student .she seemed very patient and knowledgeable with that age group.
She will be back tomorrow for the lesson .
Very happy to get to know her
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
In May I will be graduating from Illinois State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have had a great deal of experience teaching all subjects to kindergarten, math and reading to third grade, and math to eighth grade. Aside from these grades I have had more short-term clinical experiences working with all other grades. I will be leaving ISU with an elementary education teaching certificate with an endorsement in math, science, social studies and language arts.
