My name is Bruce. I've been teaching in public schools for twenty-five years. I've done this because I love to see students learn. I've also tutored many learners in many subjects. I can help learners in Music (guitar and piano are my primary instruments). Also, having spent two and one-half decades in elementary schools, with a few years in high schools adding to my pedagogical experiences, there are numerous disciplines that I am highly qualified to teach in.
I hold a B.A. in Music with a minor in English. I also hold an M.A. in Teaching. I have received one of the two highest ratings from my administrators for the last twenty years. I am very familiar with a variety of learning styles and I believe that this is the reason why I have been successful with so many students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been studying the guitar, piano, and other instruments for over forty years. I have a Bachelor's degree from Elmhurst College (IL) in Music with an emphasis in Music Theory and Music History. I have performed in a wide variety of ensembles for thirty-five years. My musical studies have run the gamut from Gregorian Chant through to modern Jazz and Rock styles.
I have studied guitar for forty-five years. I began taking lessons at the age of five. While studying for, and completing, my B.A. in Music, my main instrument of performance was the guitar. I have studied and taken lessons in Classical, Jazz, and Modern guitar styles. I have performed in ensembles playing the above styles, along with Folk and Rock groups.
I have a B.A. in Music from Elmhurst College (IL). My main concentrations of study were Music History and Music Theory. I continue to read and learn about Music History to this day. I also hold an M.A. in Teaching.
I have studied piano for several decades. I am able to play Classical through to Rock. I am not a virtuoso but am very well equipped to instruct beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. I've been teaching in public schools for twenty-five years.
