My 7 year old daughter looks forward to having a lesson with Aya sensei. Aya keeps the lesson interesting for my daughter and allows my daughter to feel confident in learning without pressuring her to learn.
I was looking for a Japanese tutor for some time, so I decided to try a few lessons with Aya and it was the best decision I ever made. I have been working with her for about 3 months now and I believe I have learned a lot in a short period of time, she has a great fond of knowledge, very patient, applies helpful learning techniques and she is always available for help. I can say with certainty that she masters the Japanese language.
Aya is very helpful and professional. I would recommend her for my friends and everyone who wants to learn English.
Aya worked with me through a textbook prompt but she went much further and explained everything with detail. I learned so much about grammar structure just from out first class. I look forward to learning more with her. Thank you Aya.
Great introductory lesson. Spent a good portion of the session gauging my level and planning a course appropriately. Highly recommended tutor.
I'm currently learning Japanese with Aya, and she makes classes very interesting! Time fly fast when taking lessons with her. She is very good for beginners when is willing to learn Japanese. Her pronunciation is excellent, but her English is also great so it's easy to communicate and learn traditional Japanese without accidents. Looking forward to explore Japanese with her!
I am an international graduate student who is seeking help with English in professional settings. Aya came to my home for the first session today, which was designed by her to get to know my need. Aya identified my weaknesses and provided insightful solutions to tackle the problems that I have with English as a graduate student. She is nice, fun, and knowledgeable. I will certainly continue to use her help for the following months.
Aya is the best!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Master's in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I have taught painting and drawing at SAIC as well as privately. My subject areas include: drawing, painting, 2D design, moldmaking, and figure drawing.
