In 2010, I received my B.A. at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina with high honors in philosophy and a minor in religion. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
While at Wofford College, I completed a minor in Religion. This minor included several courses on Biblical Studies such as the Gospel of John and Apocalyptic Literature. These courses used converging lines of close literary, theological, archaeological evidence to understand the meaning of various biblical texts. I also took a course on various responses to the problem of evil and a course on religious pilgrimage.
