Princeton University (Economics)
I recently graduated from Princeton University with a major in Economics and a minor in Spanish. Ever since my first Spanish class in the 6th grade I have been passionate about the Spanish language and culture, and during my four years at Princeton I worked as a university language tutor for my fellow undergraduate students. Since graduation I have also spent several months living in Spain, immersing myself in the Spanish language and culture while teaching English to my host family in Barcelona. I am an incredibly positive and enthusiastic young woman, and I love to help others succeed. I would be thrilled to teach your child how to master the Spanish language, so please contact me to get started! Have a wonderful day.

My son had the privilege of working with Jen as a tutor this past semester. She was an excellent choice for him to help him along in his high school Spanish II class as her passion and love for the language was quite evident. Jen always seemed genuinely interested in my son's progress and was an exceptional tutor who connected well with him. She mostly tutored him in our home, was always quite flexible with her schedule, and would always do her best to prepare my son for his quizzes and tests. I also though her hourly fee was fair. We highly recommend Jen as a Spanish tutor and she was an excellent role model for my son in how to prepare for other classes as well.
Jennifer enabled my daughter to bring her Spanish grade up enough to qualify for honor roll! They met mostly at the library, which my daughter preferred, and Jennifer was fantastic working with my daughter around her Lacrosse schedule. I highly recommend WyzAnt and Jennifer H.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been studying the Spanish language and culture since the 6th grade at Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. After continuing to take honors and AP Spanish classes in high school, I was inducted into the National Spanish Honor Society and received the Oral Proficiency award in 2009 upon graduating.
At Princeton University I graduated with a major in Economics and a minor in Spanish. While at Princeton I worked as a peer tutor in Spanish, instructing fellow undergraduate students in grammar, vocabulary, test/presentation preparation and oral proficiency.
After graduation I spent two months in Barcelona, Spain, living with a host family and teaching them English for 15 hours each week. During this time I became fully immersed in Spain's language and culture which advanced my fluency.
Spanish is one of my passions. I love to teach, and I have demonstrated an ability in a variety of settings to effectively teach others and help them achieve their goals.
