I am currently endorsed, or highly qualified, in the subject of Language Arts. I have taught 1st/2nd grade students and practiced daily with phonics using scripted text. Using this text students segmented the onsets and rimes of different words to see how different parts of words come together to make that word. Student segmented different phonemes to see how different letter come together to create a word. I also practiced with phonics flashcards for my students with vowels, digraphs, and diphthongs that I created for extra practice and students would later work independently on this skill.
