About Kevin

I am a experienced professional in the legal and business world, with an extensive educational background as well. I have always enjoyed what I do, but I also have always had a strong appreciation for any opportunity to teach, mentor and coach.

I earned both a law degree and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, and received my undergraduate degree from Hope College, in Holland, Michigan. My educational and professional backgrounds have provided me with expertise in areas such as writing, English, reading comprehension, editing/proofreading, business structure/operations/management, test preparation, test taking, finance and others.

I also have played numerous sports throughout my life, including four years of varsity college basketball, in addition to years of high school basketball, football, soccer, swimming and baseball. During this time, I coached in each sport as well. Since the conclusion of my competitive playing days, I have continued to play, as well as coach, in each of these different sports.

I enjoy being able to help educate, mentor, coach and lead individuals of all ages, and I can think of no better way to pass along my experience, expertise and enjoyment than by being a tutor and coach through WyzAnt. I am a patient individual in all respects, and this is as true in my tutoring and coaching methods as it is anywhere else.

I am capable of, and enjoying working with, students at all levels, from beginners (K-5) to those needing to refine skills for opportunities as varied as AP courses, college prep and varsity tryouts.

I hope to have the opportunity to pass along my experiences to any who may benefit from them. Thank you.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
