About Robert

I began teaching ESL in 2002 In Minneapolis, Minnesota. I worked with immigrants who had a very minimal understanding of English, and I also worked with young adults who were hoping to get into American universities and colleges. I bring a passion for language and learning to every minute of my interactions with students.
Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are all skills I can help you with. I can help you develop a love for the English language!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

TOEFL

Over the course of seven and a half years working at Kaplan Test Prep, I helped many, many students prepare for the TOEFL examination and pass. My students came from a wide variety of language backgrounds and an equally wide array of areas of study.
