I will be teaching honors physics and chemistry this year. This summer, I worked for ComEd's "smart grid" education program. I also spent a year doing ACT tutoring at Huntington Learning Center. I am available for tutoring chemistry, physics, earth science, math, and ACT on the weekends

Jim is an excellent tutor who was able to explain the concepts of Chemistry in a way that my daughter's regular teacher was not able to convey. We are very proud that she got an A in Chemistry last semester. Jim always made time for us when we requested it, often on short notice. He was always prompt and spent the time needed to cover he subject. We highly recommend Jim as a tutor!
Jim was a good tutor. My son liked his teaching style. But I did not like the way Jim discontinued abruptly without giving any reasoning or advance notice.
Jim knew materials very well and very patiently explained to my son. I really think he is doing excellent job. Highly recommend.
My son really likes Jim a lot. He is willing to help him with any subject which is very hard to find in a tutor! He was quick to respond to my emails and questions. So glad we found him!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
