About Ronnie

I graduated from The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago with a Bachelor in Fine Art, Media Arts & Animation. I have gained a lot of valuable technical tools, as well as traditional art skills that will help me succeed at the professional level. I have also been pursuing acting for over 10 years. In the past I freelanced as a motion capture animator and worked on the popular video game "Rock Band". I truly know how to accommodate the needs of others and I have a smile that will brighten up your day even at night. I'm currently teaching a 3D printing class at Edgewater Workbench and helping out in the customer service department of Belly to solve app technical problems. I try to combine their common interests with what they need to learn to make things more interesting for them. I am a motivated self-starter that can apply a tremendous amount of energy to any project with which I am involved. Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Adobe Illustrator

I have been using Adobe Illustrator for over 5 years for freelance and personal projects. This course is intended for designers, publishers, pre-press professionals, marketing communications professionals, or people switching to a design job or taking on design responsibilities and who need to use Illustrator to create illustrations, logos, advertisements, or other graphic documents.

Drawing

I graduated from The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago with a Bachelor in Fine Art, Media Arts & Animation, in 2006. I have gained a lot of valuable technical tools, as well as traditional art skills that will help me succeed at the professional level. In 2007, I freelanced as a motion capture animator and worked on the popular video game "Rock Band". I'm very well versed in free hand drawing and I am able to teach someone about line quality and composition. I believe if you learn how to draw the human figure then you can learn how to draw anything.

Elementary (K-6th)

I work with children of many different ages, teaching them about math, science, technology, and engineering. I also currently work at The Museum of Science & Industry so I have a lot of experience interacting with young children on a weekly basic. The motto is to inspire and motivate children to achieve their full potential.
