This tutor knows how to get down to business. I have the most challenging professor at my school for Algebra 140 through Calc 2. Adolfo was able to answer EVERY SINGLE QUESTION that I had problems with. He is quick and has a knack for explaining the "why" of how things transform graphically/ algebraically. He is proficient with logs/ln/e and made them easier to understand. He was able to simplify what previously seemed like the more complex things. He is intuitive, passionate, and confident. I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking a better understanding of graphing polynomials and rational functions, finding domains of functions, finding inverse functions, pretty much anything 140. I started the tutor session feeling like I could probably manage getting a high C or B on my final (which is tomorrow) and now feel like I can get a high B or, if I'm careful, even an A. Thank you Adolfo!
We are so pleased with the session that our son had with Adolfo and this was their first time working together. Our son was already more confident about how to do the work that it was such a relief! Adolfo really catered his explanation to things our son could relate to and understood. He was very patient and picked up where he was apprehensive and went over the materials again, explained in different ways, allowed our son to inject when he didn't understand, and really broke it down for him. Honestly we are very pleased with Adolfo and his methods, an excellent tutor!
Adolfo accessed my son's skills and taught him some skills to help him understand the steps needed to answer math problems. He was extremely patient and calm and recognized that my son lacked confidence in his own understanding of math. My son felt very good at the end of the lesson and I can see he had less fear of and more confidence in understanding math. We certainly will schedule another lesson with Adolfo.
I've had two tutoring lessons with Adolfo for my Algebra assignments and I have to say that HE KNOWS HIS STUFF! Very patient, takes the time to explain certain problems to me and hard working. I recommend him to anybody who needs help in math. Thanks.
Adolfo is a great tutor! He was immediately able to hone in on my daughter's weaknesses in algebra and began to help her accordingly. Not only did he help her with the technical/problem-solving aspect of her issues with math, but was also able to support her self-esteem and increase her confidence in regard to the subject. He's an insightful, compassionate, and fun kid to be around. I'll suggest him to all my friends and family in need of a tutor.....as long as they don't interfere with my daughter's Sunday appointments with him! Thanks Adolfo!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
There is nothing in prealgebra that I can't do.
Good at figuring out thesis statements, brain storming, and finding credible sources.
