In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I approach the teaching of English to speakers of other languages in a holistic way, integrating all of the components; speaking, listening, reading, and writing, so that the lessons are based on your unique needs.

As a tutor, I will help you to discover your learning process and guide you to take your language learning out into the broader world so that you become an independent learner.
Grammar lessons are incorporated into the larger focus of achieving fluency so that learning happens through use and not through boring grammar drills. My responsibility is to assess your needs and direct you toward the material that best fits what and how you need to learn.
