$50/hr for 1 student. $70/hr for 2 students tutored at the same time. $40/hr for two students tutored one-on-one (two hours total).
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have Type 03 teacher certification from Illinois State Board of Education to teach K-9,and recognized as a highly qualified teacher (by ISBE). In addition,I have taught 5th and 7th grades at School District 170 in Illinois. Currently, I am a teacher at a non-profit organization, tutoring 4th to 7th graders.
