In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a graduate of Bais Yaakov High School and Beth Rivka Seminary for Girls. I studied Bible is school from the original Hebrew text and commentaries. I continue to study to apply it to life on daily basis.

I am also certified in Feuerstein method, which helps to develop catalytic thinking and and other cognitive skills. As a teacher that holds Ma in Bilingual Special Education, I took many courses such as methods in reading, and reaching the struggling reader. Many of these courses focused on helping student acquire phonics and use phonics as part of whole reading. I do not believe in teaching phonics with out Whole Language.
