As a tutor, I try to impart my passion for the subjects that I teach. For example, I strive to develop the applications and fundamental interconnections, so as to impart a greater interest in both the subject, and in learning generally, to the students with whom I work.

I have over 8.5 years of total experience using CSS, with 3.5 years of full-time production environment experience using CSS. The pre-compilers that I've used for production environment development are Less and Sass. The majority of my production environment software development experience has been in front-end development, so I am very experienced with the details of CSS. I have done extensive pixel-perfect design, working full-time alongside a UX designer. I have experience with newer features of CSS such as flexbox layouts and CSS transitions. A significant amount of my production environment experience with CSS has been in working on responsive web applications, so I am also very comfortable with media queries, percentage-based techniques, and other elements of responsive design.

I am very proficient with areas of jQuery such as DOM traversal, DOM manipulation, Ajax, event handling, and animations. I have used jQuery in a production environment setting for every one of those use cases, among other uses.

In terms of specifics, I have experience with subqueries, many-table joins (including updates on joins), aggregation functions, grouping, sorting, indexes, constraints (named, foreign keys, composite unique keys, etc.), indexing, connection strings, and views, among other areas.
