Lee is a knowledgeable and effective tutor who makes difficult concepts easier to understand. Based on Lee's help, I've greatly improved my understanding of statistics and quantitative analysis. My instructor even commented that he has seen great improvement not only in my grades but my ability to explain statistical concepts.
Lee was great! He responded to my request right away. When we met he had reviewed the statistic homework assignments that I emailed him the night before. Lee was very knowledgeable and patient. I got an A on my assignment and walked away from our session much more confident.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been programming/using SAS for 25 years! I started out using it in graduate school in psychology and then proceeded to use it as a market researcher over my career. I am an expert user and can program data in the DATA step as well as use many of the statistical procedures, e.g., regression, univariate statistics, logistic regression, frequencies, etc. I have a good understanding of macros and have programmed in them fairly well. I have experience with various types of computer installations, PCs, mainframes, etc., and can help a student quickly become familiar with the language and begin to do programming/analyses easily. In graduate school, I served as a SAS consultant to the other graduate students, and at one point actually had a SAS consulting business. I have attended a number of SAS training classes in data management and manipulation.
I can help students with all facets of SPSS. By working closely with the you, I can help you perform the necessary tasks of recoding, creating new variables, splitting your file and other data management needs. I can help the student determine which statistical analysis to perform and how to set up the commands to run the analysis and help with interpreting the results. Finally, I can help the student with data entry and how to do exploratory data analysis to clean their data and make their results more precise.
I work well with students who need help in the social sciences, ie., psychology, sociology, and education. I can help with questionnaire development, research design, methodology, interpreting the results and writing the conclusion. I can also help with students learn and apply statistics, from basic means, medians, modes, through Z scores, to T-tests, Correlations and Regression.
