I describe myself as a adroit sagacious pursuer where I strive to become a campus and community leader. I am currently a double major in Molecular Cellular Biology and Chemistry where I am involved with many opportunities provided by the University of Illinois. My experience in tutoring began when I had tutors teaching me material when I did not understand the work from school. I had learned so much from their teaching style, and was able to understand the material that I wanted to become just like them. This was the beginning of a seed that was planted for my aspirations in becoming a tutor.

Being the oldest, I learned to take responsibility and becoming reliable to my siblings that now when they have trouble with school work they contact me for help in all subjects. I am now the VP of Medical Training where I teach other students how to use medical devices and informing them material necessary for the yearly trip to volunteer at clinics out of the country. I occasionally volunteer with Refugee Tutoring, helping children with their homework from school, and reminding them to focus on their schoolwork before playing with their friends. I want to become a tutor, like my previous tutors, so that I can give back to those who are in need of help. Without my tutors, I would not be where I am today. I would like to pay it forward to those who need help with their school work or other interest, and encourage them to become tutors in the future.

I obtained a 33 on my ACT exam when I took the ACT exam. Besides this, I tutor my siblings in the all types of math subjects that they are currently taking from basic Algebra to Calculus. I have taken all levels of math up to Calculus III. I help other students with math that is integrated with biology and chemistry. I have experience in quantitative and physical chemistry where mathematics is heavily involved as a combination of biology, chemistry, and math.

I am majoring Molecular Cellular Biology that focuses on cells at the molecular level. I have taken classes about Genetics, Neuroscience, Microbiology, Molecular and Cellular Basis of Life. I have been in a neuroscience lab where I perform experiment using molecular techniques such as Immunocytochemistry that focuses on epilepsy.

I have a lot of experience elementary education as I tutored my siblings when they needed help with their school work. My siblings got into the gifted program during their elementary school years, and to this day they still ask me for help on their school work even though they are in middle and high school. I have volunteered at Refugee Tutoring where students bring their homework, and if they have questions I help them to understand the question. Simplicity is the main component in helping children understand the material where I strive to achieve when I teach everyone in understanding a subject.

Thank you for your consideration! If you have any questions or you would like to contact me, please email me.
