About Kevin

*As I'll be spending this summer on my college campus working in a lab during the day, I will most likely only accept online tutoring. I apologize for any inconvenience!*

I have always enjoyed and had passion for helping others. Ever since high school, I have been a tutor for countless students from elementary school to those who are older than me. I have tutored through one of the world's largest academic enrichment program, my school, and privately. I really do love connecting with my students and bringing out the best in them. In my junior and senior years of high school, I was assigned to a class of 20+ freshmen each year as a mentor and helped them adjust to the school along with assisting them with their classwork. On top of that, I was assigned to teach competitive math to the underclassmen on our school math team. Outside of school, I have always received positive feedback from my employees and parents, and students were really happy with their results.

I am very confident in my ability to connect and engage with my students, and with all sincerity, nothing makes me more joyful than seeing my students be happy about reaching or even surpassing their goals. Through my years of tutoring, I have developed the skills to adjust my style of teaching to the individual student's needs. There were times (with the parents' approvals) when I tutored a couple of my students in Korean to ensure that they were getting the most out of their sessions. I hope that I can be the one to fill in for the missing piece to getting your student to where he/she wants to be.

I love math, and I have done competitive math for years. I received perfect scores (36 & 800) in both ACT and SAT Math as well as Mathematics Level 2 Subject Test. I am capable of teaching all levels of high school and college math.

I received a perfect score (36) on the ACT Science and took AP Physics, AP Chemistry, AP Biology in high school as well as college physics classes.

I received 750+ scores on the SAT Writing, 700+ scores on the SAT Reading, and 34+ scores on the ACT English and ACT Reading. I also took AP English Language and Composition as well as AP English Literature.

I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have for me. Please do not hesitate in contacting me. I would love to tutor and study with you at the library, coffee shop, or wherever your preference holds. I look forward to hearing from you and working together to achieve your goals. Thank you!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
