About Lindsey

Hello! I am originally from Southern Illinois and recently relocated back here from st. Charles, Missouri. I graduated from Lindenwood University in 2007 and received Summa Cum Laude. After graduation I was hired to teach at The Academy of the Sacred Heart, which was founded in 1818.

I taught Second Grade for 5 years and was recognized as an exemplary educator. For the last two years I was asked to be the Administrator for our after school program and responsible for a team of employees. This allowed me to interact with children ages 4 to 14 on a daily basis. During the regular school hours I taught a Global Studies class to grades K-4 which focused on culture, geography and Planet Earth. My teaching style encourages excellence and positivity in the learning environment. I am an energetic, thoughtful, and exciting teacher who can be naturally firm and inspire life long learners!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Handwriting

As a Second Grade teacher, I was responsible for ensuring that printing skills were met. Towards the middle of the school year, we would begin teaching cursive.
