Hola! My name is Myrna. I am a native Spanish speaker. I graduated with my degree in Philosophy and Hotel Management with minors in both German and Russian. My past experiences of leaving and traveling around South America have made me the person I am today. I have been working as a Bilingual Special Services assistant in District 220 for the past 2 years and have gained valuable experience. I realized through this position how much I enjoy working with kids and passing along my knowledge of the Spanish language.
I am looking forward to having the opportunity to teach you or your child and will differentiate instruction as needed for optimal success!

Myrna has been a great Spanish teacher to my daughter. She provides fun and creative environment for her and is truly invested in her success. She has become more than just a teacher to my daughter. She is a great friend to her and someone that she can always turn to for help.
I highly recommend Myrna. She helps you understand the basics (letter sounds and grammar) which strengthens my confidence in speaking and my comprehension of reading and hearing the Spanish language.
Excellent tutor, has helped our daughter very much with improving her Spanish language skills. Recommend her highly as a tutor for Spanish language. Myrna is also very responsive and easy to work with.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
