She is the perfect tutor for beginner speakers. She is very knowlegable an patient with her students! I felt very comfortable speaking with her and she very well prepared.
Edyta began by helping me to identify how to approach studying again after not practicing Polish formally for a couple of years. She is very patient and encouraging and I look forward to continuing my studies with her guidance.
Edyta is a wonderful tutor and I am so happy to have worked with her. Polish is difficult, but Edyta is very patient and knowledgeable and she also makes it fun. She suggested good textbooks for me to buy and use and she prepared lessons for me each week that were tailored to my learning level and the things I was interested in. She was also very flexible about scheduling! I recommend her very highly!
Thank you for your very kind expressions. The pleasure was all mine. You are a very talented student with great potential. Please continue with your studies. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
I've been trying to learn Polish on my own for years now. Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur, and several books later, I still only know a few words and phrases. After starting to see Edyta M., I finally feel like I’m on the right track. She’s provided me with the structure, resources and the motivation I've been looking for.
Polish seems to be a very difficult language to learn for a mono-lingual English speaker. The courses that seem to try to dumb down the grammar and approach learning like a child just didn't work for me. Trying to go through the grammar books alone made my ears bleed. Having Edyta there to walk me through the grammar and break things down into logical chunks has been invaluable. After a little over a month I finally can see some of the pieces falling into place. Now that I’m understanding the rules and seeing patterns it doesn't seem as chaotic of a language as it did a month ago. I’m actually able to construct sentences now that are not canned or that follow a specific conversation pattern.
She’s very personable. She’s knowledgeable, understanding, patient, motivating and easy to get along with. Staying motivated and moving forward in itself has been a big help. I've had a few weeks where I didn't have the time to put into studying but after the tutor session I still felt like I was moving forward. Where if I had skip the tutor sessions I probably would have made an excuse to put the whole thing off until I wasn't so busy.
I have miles to go before I sleep but I have no doubt Edyta has me traveling down the right path. No matter what you current skill level is, if you want to learn Polish, I couldn't recommend Edtya more. Truly an excellent tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
