Piedmont International University
I have taught a broad range of ages but specialize in children's education. My educational history includes the B.S.N. nursing program at Bob Jones University and a Bachelor of Arts from Piedmont International University with a focus on ministry (Counseling, education and theology). What sets me apart are my interpersonal skills and my study of learning style. I hold to the theory that every student has a leaning toward a particular learning style (imaginative, analytic, dynamic or common sense). If a student is not being challenged through their own style by any teacher, they can be easily missed in the classroom. I want to help those students.
In addition to having proven myself in the classroom, life has challenged me with real-life application. I have a particular passion for the sciences, religious studies and English. I am willing to personalize plans for any student. If you are looking for a worthwhile experience with a trustworthy tutor, please contact me about a tutoring plan. Hello!

Jonathan is a great and patient tutor and truly helps me to comprehend what he's helping me with. I appreciate that he always finds time to work with me too! He's a blessing.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I personally played 4 years of Varsity baseball at my high-school. Baseball is an American game focused scoring "runs". Each run is worth 1 point (or score) for the offensive team. The run is achieved by hitting the ball with a bat onto the infield or outfield and making it around 3 bases finally reaching home plate. All this is done against 9 defenders (outfielders/infielders/pitcher). The defense positions are catcher, pitcher, first base, second base, short-stop, third base, right field, center field and left field. The standard weight of high-school bats is -3.
I started my basketball "career" with a basketball camp in 1999. I played all the way through middle school, played on the JV team for 1 year and made the Varsity team my sophomore year in high-school. I started my last 2 years on the men's varsity basketball team. We were in the State Finals all 3 of my years on the varsity team in North Carolina. I continued my basketball career at Piedmont International University during my sophomore year. Piedmont International University is NCCSA Division-2.
I am an experienced player (15 years) and a patient coach who loves the game!
My undergraduate work was focused around biblical and theological studies at Piedmont International University. With a BA in "Christian Ministries", I am well rounded in my knowledge about the bible and related religious studies. One of my minors was in Pastoral Theology. As a career/ministry, I was a student pastor in Savannah, GA from for one year. I can answer any questions regarding specific tutoring needs or questions about my education.
