Illinois College (Elementary Education)
I have a true passion for learning. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education with a middle school endorsement in Language Arts. In college, I met with students weekly to assist them with homework and areas of struggle. I previously worked as a substitute teacher and teacher's aide. I had the opportunity to work with preschool students through high school students. I spent a majority of time working one-on-one with students or working in small groups.
My goal as a tutor is to help students reach their fullest potential and be confident in their learning. I think it's very important for children to see their growth and accomplishments. Making learning fun is also crucial. I believe in hands on learning and catering to the needs of each individual student. As a tutor, I will create positive learning experiences, so the student is encouraged and eager to be successful and learn more.
I am very reliable and put my whole heart into everything I do. I look forward to working with your child and helping them be successful. I have a true passion for learning. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education with a middle school endorsement in Language Arts.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
