Hello! My name is Hannah. I am married and have two children that I home schooled. They are now getting into college. I have a passion for learning and teaching foreign languages, and I am really looking forward to getting back into tutoring and teaching the French language. I believe I will bring a richness in tutoring because I originally come from a country where French and English are the official languages. As a result, I can speak, read, and write the language. I have also had the privilege of traveling to some of the French speaking countries like France, Switzerland and Cameroon to experience their rich cultures and languages. My love for the French language led me to pursue a degree program in French and English Literature at the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point (UWSP). I have gained some experience teaching French in several of the grade and high schools in the western suburban area of Chicago, which I enjoyed immensely.
I believe I am a fun, kind and loving individual and will bring a lot of creativity in the student's learning experience. When I used to teach, I would rarely speak in English and the students loved that because it encouraged them to speak and become comfortable in expressing themselves in the language. I am also very flexible and patient, and I think this helps the students to have a more relaxed and fun atmosphere to learn.
I am committed to giving a hundred percent of my time and energy to ensure that students are satisfied with the instruction they are receiving. Looking forward to putting my skills back to work.

I'm having great tutoring sessions with Hannah! She is very patient, articulate, and easy to follow. I am learning quite a bit and having fun. I hope to start my 10 year old son in French soon too.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

English has been my language of instruction from the time I was in pre-Kindergarten. I continued my education through College with a minor in English Literature. I have also had opportunities to teach in Grade Schools, and also home schooled my children who are now college age students.
I love interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds and being an International myself, I believe I have the patience to help any ESL/ESOL student learn the English Language
