Hi, my name is Rushi! I have tutored pre-medical students in various topics in the foundational sciences such as microbiology, physiology, and pathology. I am currently a third-year medical student at Des Moines University. I sat down for four medical school interviews, and I was accepted into all the schools I was interviewed at. I have strong insight into the medical school admissions process, and I have 2 years of experience helping students and peers with their application process. Of the students I have mentored, all of them have been accepted into an accredited MD or DO program within the U.S.

In my class at Des Moines University, I am ranked in the top quartile of my class. I have served several roles of a tutor for students in the past, including 4 years of experience tutoring pre-medical students in core sciences classes such as biology, chemistry, and anatomy as well as 1 year of experience tutoring other medical students in foundational science courses. I have tutored students in many settings, including 1 on 1 sessions as well as leading study groups. I am equipped with enough experience to tailor my tutoring sessions to students' preferences to optimize outcomes.

I really enjoy working with students and seeing the improvement they make over time. I have a passion for teaching and aim to integrate mentorship into my future practice as a physician. I am available mostly anytime throughout the week as well as willing to organize sessions on the weekends. I would prefer to do sessions on Zoom as the interactive platform allows me to mirror content from my iPad. I look forward to working with you!

I have revised over 40 college personal statements for students applying to undergraduate. After being accepted to 4 medical schools, I have mentored over 10 pre-medical students in their medical school applications. I studied for STEP1 USMLE exam for over 6 months and was scoring 75+ on NBME Exams. I have tutored MS2 and MS1 students in medical subjects as well as the USMLE for 1 year and have attained Top 1% quartile at my medical school. He’s very honest with his feedback (in a good way) and really knows what he’s doing.
