My name is Kelsie, and I am here to help you succeed! I have extensive training working with people from all backgrounds of life. I am actively involved in scientific research including publishing and manuscript reviews, clinical work, and curriculum development at the university level. I earned my B.S./B.A. in 2009, M.S. in 2012, and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2015.

I am committed to meeting every student at their own level of understanding. My goal is to help you build your foundation of knowledge in the subject(s) of your choice. I am well prepared to walk you through your subject at a pace comfortable to you. Learning is much more than memorizing facts - it is about developing critical thinking skills, understanding concepts, and developing the strategies that will be useful throughout your life.

I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, college students, individuals with developmental disabilities, and groups. I am a person who is flexible and easy to work with, but I am also effective at gently pushing people to achieve their goals.

I use the Riggs and Orton-Gillingham approaches to reading intervention. I have helped parents understand their child's IEPs for dyslexia and created tutoring sessions to match their needs.

Amazing Tutor

Kelsie got back to me right away for an assignment. She answered all of my questions and asked me up front how long I would like for her to work on the assignment so we were both on the same page which I appreciated that. The assignment that she helped me with my instructor ended up using it as an example in class which has never happened before and I was super excited. I will definitely be using her in the future.
