I have always liked studying and learning new things. Writing and literature are some of my favorite things to study. My first job right out of high school was as a paraprofessional in my local school district. I worked with students in several different grades and learning levels.
Aside from helping at the school, I have also studied music for a very long time. I have done a variety of different things with it. I have taught private voice lessons, composed, as well as arranged music for others.
The origins of the English language are fascinating to me. Being able to pull things apart and explain things in new ways is something I try to do.
I've studied voice for ten years, including at college. I earned a music degree last year, and I am currently finishing up the rest of my studies.
I have worked in a special needs environment for two years as a paraprofessional. My favorite thing about working with special needs students is encouraging them and watching them grow. If anything, they have definitely taught me a few things.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
