I am currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, I love to learn. I really enjoy challenging courses that provide me with plenty of opportunity to push myself to learn. I have been a very successful student.
I worked for an English professor for more than a year. I was his personal teaching assistant at BYU-Idaho. In this role I had the opportunity to tutor and teach college students how to efficiently read and write. I was successful in teaching students how to comprehend what they read and how to write well. I was also successful in teaching students how to proofread their own work so that they can be successful for the rest of their lives. As a teaching assistant I was often asked to create and teach class material and presentations.
I love working with disabled children. I worked for a couple years as a developmental therapy tech in Idaho Falls. I was given the opportunity to help them learn to succeed. I received lots of training in how to best interact with and teach disabled children. For a year I went from class to class with a client as his personal tutor and assistant.
For over a year I was a teaching assistant for an English professor at BYU-Idaho. I was responsible for creating class material, teaching lessons, creating presentations, grading classwork and homework, editing essays, and tutoring students.
I worked for 2 years with special needs children. I worked with several clients of varying disabilities. I love working with special needs children and have been given a great deal of training in how to best help them.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
