I enjoy working with youth of all ages. I have worked as a paraprofessional in an elementary school in Lakeland School District since 2003. I have operated and supervised students in an after school Homework Club Program of 1st-6th grade students since 2009. I have taught Extended School Year (ESY) for two summers through the same elementary school that I am employed. I have been tutoring since 2009. Cassandra is doing and excellent job and keeping our son on task and organized. Since Cassandra was hired she has been helping our son stay focused on doing him homework and doing it right. He got an A on his spelling test on Tuesday and he was very pleased with himself. He is actually excited to plow through his homework so he can get another good grade! As time goes on it will build his academic self esteem. thanks again Cassandra for your patience and ability to help our son.
Your son is a bright student with a fun loving personality. He has a will to learn and is enjoyable to work with. We work well together.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
