I have over 30 years experience teaching High School Math. There are many different ways to teach a subject. Not all of them work with all students. If you teach a student how to learn and help them develop confidence in their ability to learn, then that student will grow academically. Elementary Math

Having taught math for over 20 years I have found ways to make learning basic math facts both fun and enjoyable. Once a student has these facts mastered they have the confidence to move forward in Math.

Homeschool

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

30 years as a school teacher. I have taught Algebra most of those years.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have six years experience teaching Algebra 2. Algebra 2 is a mixture of Algebra 1 and Geometry with an introduction to Trigonometry mixed in. It is a foundation course for most college math courses. Because I work with a number of different students with different learning patterns, I am constantly looking for different ways to approach each lesson.
Geometry,

Geometry

Geometry is one of my favorite subjects. The relationship of lines to circles and other shapes has always fascinated me. I have six years experience teaching Geometry at all levels.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is the foundation for all advance math. A student who has a good foundation in Prealgebra has a much better chance of being successful in all higher forms of math. I have taught Prealgebra for over 15 years and understand the subject matter well.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor.

Dan started tutoring my grandson Isaac a couple of weeks ago and from their first meeting, Isaac has a new found enthusiasm for learning. So glad we made the choice to work with Dan, wish we had started sooner in the school year.

Awesome tutor!

Dan is a great teacher. My daughter now has the knowledge and confidence she needed to excel at math. Dan is patient and understanding and always asks if she needs more help or if she understands what they are working on.

Excellent teacher

Dan was great. He presented it in a manner that I could grasp the concept, not merely the steps. He was incredibly patient and offered me other resources to help complement his lessons. I would highly recommend him.

Thanks Dan!

My son had such a positive experience in his tutoring session with Dan. He had a smile all afternoon because his math finally makes sense! Thanks for your patience and clear explanations Dan.

Easy to communicate

Unlike my own Algebra 2 teacher, he explained clearly the error in my ways without wasting my time. I am truly grateful to have someone like him tutor me. I have no doubt that his students enjoy his class.

Knowledgeable and patient

My teenage son has been failing algebra for almost 2 years. I reached out to Dan for help. We have only had one 2 hour session but he was reassuring, patient, and knowledgeable. He also has given my son some quick tips to help him think on his feet in class. We will have him back for weekly sessions.
