About Ashley

Hi my name is Ashley and I work as a Behavior/Habilitative Interventionist working with special needs students. I have my bachelor's degree in Applied Studies with an emphasis in education. I have always loved working with kids and I want to help them reach their fullest potential.

As someone who grew up loving to go to school and learning all that I could I am also able to understand when children sometimes have struggles understanding concepts. Many children have different learning styles and approaches and that is one of my strong suits when I am working with kids. If one approach isn't working it allows me to understand that I need to work from a different strategy.

I have experience working with kids of all elementary levels and I have a good comprehension of Algebra 1 and geometry. In addition I have a proficient knowledge of concepts when it comes to English.

I understand different ways of how to teach the different subjects to students so that they can relate to subject matter.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
