I have been a teacher for over thirty years; I have taught and tutored kids and adults; I like to build a relationship as well as tutor students. I love tutoring math, reading and writing. I use examples, sight word and vocabulary building exercises and practice to improve skill. I positively reinforce in a variety of ways.

I have a Master's in Special Education and close to a Master's Degree in Counseling. A perfect match to help me tutor kids and adults. So, find level of skill; develop plan; work plan for approximately four weeks; reevaluate; adapt plan as needed!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a teacher for over thirty years. I have tutored through the school, on my own and for a company. I worked with all types of disabilities throughout my years of teaching. I have a Master's degree in special education. I work well with students and with parents. I am familiar with many school settings and feel comfortable finding information that I might need to help in a particular area. I know I would be able to help students who need extra support. I have worked with many special needs children and can help children get organized!
