I enjoy helping students achieve their goals, and believe that math is highly sequential, in that a firm understanding of basic concepts is required in order to have a solid grasp of more complicated ones - I liken it to building a foundation out of cement vs. a foundation of sand.
I am a Certified Public Accountant, so math and numbers are a part of my DNA. I am a very linear thinker and instructor, I believe that more complicated math concepts cannot be fully grasped if the foundational math skills are not mastered. I am happy to help students brush up on more basic ideas if it would be beneficial to the student, as one cannot learn to run if walking is a challenge.
