I have extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of Spanish, Math, Chemistry, Statistics, Word Documents, Biochemistry, and Geology. I enjoy teaching others and I get great pleasure in seeing young minds understand and grasp the knowledge and skills in these classes. I want to ensure that these courses can be fun and not frustrating. I like to instill confidence in my students.
I graduated from Iowa State University from the Agronomy Department in 2003. I lived in Chicago, Illinois for four years working as an environmental scientist. My family and I recently relocated to the Des Moines Area. While in Chicago, I served as a Spanish translator and interpreter. For my previous and current jobs I utilized a lot of the principles of chemistry, statistics, mathematics, geology, ecology, and biochemistry.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
