Hello everyone! My name is Samantha and I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand View University in 2018. I am currently receiving my master’s degree in nursing leadership and administration from Rasmussen University. Upon graduation, I began to work on the medical surgical unit where I stayed for four years. Hello everyone! My name is Samantha and I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand View University in 2018. I am currently receiving my master’s degree in nursing leadership and administration from Rasmussen University. Upon graduation, I began to work on the medical surgical unit where I stayed for four years. Two years ago I transferred to the inpatient psychiatric unit to gain additional knowledge in the nursing field. I have recently accepted a travel contract to work as an inpatient medical/surgical/cardiac nurse.
Throughout my time, I have been a charge nurse, co chair of our policy and procedure committee hospital wide, and chair member of our unit based council. I am also certified in advanced cardiovascular life support, basic life support and prevention and management of disruptive behavior. I have went on two DEMPS deployments (Disaster Emergency Medical Personnel System). The first deployment was to Oklahoma during the flooding and the second deployment was to Arizona during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I have taken many psychology, reading, writing, sociology, and nursing courses throughout my education. As a past nursing clinical mental health instructor, I love helping others reach their academic and career goals. I encourage all students looking for a fun and easy-going tutor to reach out!
