I am a student at Cornell College. I am a philosophy major, but have had many courses in Chemistry. My approach to learning is pretty much the way I study. This generally includes reading, flash cards, and practice problems. For extra curricular, such as tennis and guitar, I am very much more hands on with my approach. I am a student at Cornell College. I am a philosophy major, but have had many courses in Chemistry. My approach to learning is pretty much the way I study. This generally includes reading, flash cards, and practice problems. For extra curricular, such as tennis and guitar, I am very much more hands on with my approach. Guitar is harder to learn simply because of the muscles in the hand are not developed for playing, so there are plenty of exercises that I have used or been taught over my three years of playing, that strengthen and add dexterity to the movements. I would like to point out that while I know these exercises, I am mainly a rhythm guitarist. Namely I do less work on soloing and more on chords and strumming patterns, but I can teach lead guitar if needed. For tennis, I played all through high school, to which I went to state 2 times, and I play recreationally now because of a shoulder injury. I learned tennis with a very hands on teacher. They would stop a practice game to adjust the Racquet in my hands. I'm not nearly that much hands on, but I still know what it's like to not be able to play at all, so I can help make or hone skills.
