University of Iowa (Finance)
My name is Kelli and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Iowa. I am majoring in Finance, minoring in Spanish, and receiving a certificate in International Business. I love helping people and I am currently involved in Computer Comfort. It is a volunteer organization on campus that connects the elderly in the community with a student that helps them with technology. I enjoy teaching them and it is very rewarding to see how much of a positive difference it can make in their lives.
I currently am tutoring a student in Spanish 4 in high school and it is going really well. I have several work sheets and different activities that we do. I tutor her once a week. I enjoy my Spanish and international business classes the most at the University of Iowa and hope to obtain a career in international business that will deal directly with Spanish speaking countries.
I am very passionate about Spanish and very educated on Spanish grammar. I am almost done with my Spanish minor at Iowa and have been taking Spanish since I was in the seventh grade. I am very organized and I have plenty of worksheets and even some work books that are very helpful to add to the students success. I am patient and communicate well with students and I really do love helping people.
I received AP credit for AP Literature and highly enjoy reading and writing. I am a very fast reader and writer. I am very organized with writing and have a lot of experience with writing. I placed in the 99th percentile for my writing on the ACT. I am great at interpreting different books and have a love for literature.
I am very dedicated to my business courses and find them very interesting. I take great notes and have strategies that I use to remember and understand different terms and ideas in business. Being a finance major and a direct admit into the Tippie College of Business, I have already taken a majority of the core business courses and have a wide understanding of many different subjects.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
