Learning is a very important aspect of one's life. It affects your way of life tremendously, and with the right help, especially at a young age, you're able to take the things you learn and apply them to every day life. Having a positive teacher and role model is very important for everyone as they go through different stages in their lives. Growing up, I have been very fortunate to have some exceptional people in my life that have taught me many things that I am able to channel through when I teach others now.
Previously in high school, I was a mentor for a program called Club M. Club M was a mentoring program for grade school kids and they not only had the opportunity to build those special connections, but as well build their learning techniques with their school work. I was fortunate enough to be a Club M mentor for three out of the four years of high school. During this time I was able to help other students build their communication skills, learning skills, and overall just be a positive influence on their life. I've learned through this experience how important it is that everyone have at least one person who is willing to do anything to help others, and I love being that person for people. I love working with other students and am known to be a very patient person and understanding that for some people it may take longer to learn somethings than others. I want to be that person that will help them work through it so they are able to take it away with them.
All my life since I was a young child, I have attended church. Having been on two mission trips as well as being a youth group, even here in college, I have learned a lot about myself and my relationship with God. I've read through some chapters of the bible, still learning a lot, but have learned so much about who God is and the miracles He's given us.
English has always been my main enjoyment when it comes to classes. I take pride in my handwriting and spelling skills. It's very important that people at a young age even learn these skills because it will affect their future when it comes to more challenging courses or applying for jobs when they're older.
I was a local (non-profit, unofficial) photographer in my home town. Photography is just a hobby that I've thoroughly enjoyed and have taken so much pleasure in capturing beauty within people and in nature. I've learned a lot of techniques that I'd love to share with others to help them improve their photography skills.
I would love to work with you on anything you need help with! I am always here to help get you to where you need to be and where you will feel most successful. I will be a positive and encouraging tutor for you and will build you up even when you feel like you aren't understanding anything. If you're interested in getting a tutor for anything English related, biblical, language, or photography, you've found just the right person! I'd love to get to know you and set up a schedule that would work best for all of us! I hope to hear from you soon and we can discuss scheduling and location! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
