I firmly believe that one of the most important things in life is getting a quality education. A good education can lead to greater opportunities and some of the best opportunities are in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields. However, these fields also pose many challenges to today's students. It is my goal to help students conquer that challenge.

As a physics PhD student, I am well versed in many aspects of the STEM field and I am incredibly passionate about these subjects. My professors are always astounded by my thirst for knowledge and my strong work ethic. Also, working in a materials science research lab for three years gave me a deeper understanding of physics, mathematics, chemistry and scientific inquiry that others may not have. During my time as an undergraduate, I helped students from an elementary to college level understand interesting physics and math concepts through educational outreach programs. Currently, as a teaching assistant, I help introduce the field of physics to undergraduate students.
Generally, I will first ask the student to complete an assignment. Anywhere the student struggles, I give them small hints to help them out. If the student is still struggling, then I will give a small lecture on the concept and give a very detailed solution, explaining every single step in detail. From there, I will usually have the student complete a problem of their own, again giving them small hints when they're struggling. Once the student has a good handle on the type of problem, then I simply help them review and give them test taking tips.
