With a B.A. in English and Writing, I have worked in many different areas from proofreading and editing to writing and publishing. I homeschooled my children from kindergarten to college which gave me experience in teaching all levels from elementary through high school. I have worked with college students and grade school children in ministry for the past 25 years and am familiar with all learning levels as well as any cultural background.
For high school or college students, I can help you by proofreading your writing and suggesting ways to make it better or we can work together from the beginning to put your paper together. For parents of children, I can help your child love the subject of Language Arts by "lighting a fire, instead of just filling a bucket." For homeschooling families, I'm willing to help you develop a fun to use curriculum!

Holly provided excellent feedback and was very patient with me. I plan on calling Holly again for future reviews for my MBA class.
Holly did a very good job of teaching my son what we wanted in a manner in which he could learn. I think she is a very special and patient teacher especially for those who have limited attention spans for things. My son respects her teaching ability and thus he had a good attitude toward learning and doing his homework.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
