Hey, I'm Viv! I'm currently enrolled at the University of Iowa, majoring in Psychology, with a minor in English and Human Relations. I received my Associate degree (AA) from Kirkwood Community College, and currently work as a writer for a marketing platform. Growing up, I always knew I was different from the other kids. My passion was learning, but it didn't always come easy. As a neurodivergent psych major, there is nothing I find more satisfaction in, than when I am able to approach a student and tend to their specific learning style. Learning comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and I will take the time to find the learning style that best fits you. We all deserve the chance to learn and grow.

Throughout the years, I have served as a peer-review tutor in numerous writing workshops at my university, giving me almost four years of experience now. I have about a year of experience with online tutoring platforms, to which I have spent helping all ages with their writing, English, grammar, essay structuring, proofreading, rhetoric, and comprehension. I prefer one-on-one sessions in order to best cater to a student and their needs. I have over five years of experience in volunteer tutoring at the local high school, as well as my undergraduate institutions.

I am the most patient and laid back tutor you will encounter, but also believe in the power of perseverance. My main goal is to help navigate you towards a learning style that best benefits you, conceptualize the material, and apply it until you've mastered it.
