I was born and raised in an African country but have had the unique opportunity of traveling and learning in places, far and wide. I graduated with a master's degree in political economy from a British University. I also completed postgraduate studies focusing on adult education at another British University. In addition, I completed a doctorate in business administration with concentration in management from an American University. In college, I developed interest in subjects that I did not appreciate the most.

The primary reason for appreciating and developing interest in these subjects was because I had the great fortune of being taught by professors that made these courses enjoyable and also fascinating. These professors showed great interest in students' learning. They were willing to take the additional steps needed when ever I asked for further clarification on topics I did not at first truly comprehend. I try to bring knowledge gained from these classroom encounters to my basic tutoring approach.

My central aim as a tutor is to make learning enjoyable, meaningful, practical and above all a pleasant experience. I use lesson plans, not as mechanical tools set in stones, but as platforms for creative engagement with students. As one who cherishes students' autonomy, I always set aside time to allow them to practice the material on their own. Also, I always endeavor to make adjustments to my tutoring approach as needed to fit the learning style of each student. I have found this flexible approach to be the most effective in terms of learning outcomes and students' performance.

I have more than 10 years of both teaching and tutoring experience. I truly regard tutoring as an inextricable aspect of the much broader teaching and learning context, especially at the college level. I hold constant tutoring sessions with doctoral students who require additional support in statistics and dissertation research planning and design.
